Our school. The Minnesota High School Debating League is an organization under the direction of the University of Minnesota. Any state high school may become a member of this organization by paying the annual dues of three dollars. There shall be three speakers on each side, each speaker to have ten minutes in opening and five minutes in rebuttal.
75 Years - Friday, December 29, 1933
Page to issue Drivers’ licenses today in city. Joseph Page, clerk of court, will be at the city hall in St. Charles today from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Probably he’ll be very busy, for he is coming with a stack of the new automobile licenses. And dozens of car drivers from this community will want to have their licenses ready for the first of the year.
School patrol installed here last week. All people, including high school students and adults who choose to cross the street where a school patrol boy is stationed, are required to obey the patrol boy and only cross at his direction, according to Sergeant Dickinson of the State Highway Patrol. The patrol boys complained that some high school students did not know the law.

Council plans informational meeting with petition signers. In response to a petition for a complete auditing of the city books, signed by registered voters in St. Charles, the city council has slated a public hearing to air questions its constituency has about city spending and accounting policies.
10 Years - Thursday, December 24, 1998
Victory momentum rolling as Saints capture two Ws. For the devoted student body and parents who attended last Thursday night’s girls non-conference basketball game between St. Charles and Austin Pacelli, it was not only a moral victory but a mental one. For the past 31 games, the Saints have been unable to find the minutes necessary to claim one for the win column.
5 Years - Thursday, December 25, 2003
St. Charles approved for JOBZ grant; Community Service Awards. The St. Charles City Council met on Monday, December 22nd in an unusual 12 o’clock noon meeting to accommodate schedules for the holidays. Mayor Hamman presented to the Council a list of St. Charles citizens and organizations nominated for Community Service Awards.
