Board of Health.
St. Charles, Minn., Feb 3rd, 1909
This is to certify that I have this day inspected the St. Charles Bakery and find said premises kept in a cleanly and sanitary manner as required by the State Board of Health.
I further certify that a rigid physical examination of P.M. Dauser, proprietor of the St. Charles Bakery, fails to reveal any trace or sign of any form of tuberculosis or any other communicable disease.

Add 700 yards to Whitewater course; work starts soon.
About 700 yards will be added to the fairways of the Whitewater Park Golf Course when work about to be started is completed. Every tee has been changed, and only two greens, eight and nine, will remain as they are now. There will be three dog-leg holes but several creek crossings will be eliminated.

Dover-Eyota School merger is upheld.
Judge Arnold Hatfield today upheld the July 17, 1957 order of the Olmsted County Board of Commissioners merging the Dover School District with Eyota School District.
The ruling was handed down by Judge Hatfield to litigants in an Olmsted County District Court case contesting the action of the Commissioners shortly after noon Friday.
At the same time, Judge Hatfield upheld the election of Le Roy Millard and Dean Mitchell to the Dover School Board in a ruling on the Olmsted County District Court case contesting their election.
Millard and Mitchell were elected to the Dover Board by slim margins in a May 20, 1958 election. They favored a merger of Dover with Eyota and defeated two incumbent board members who favored merging Dover with St. Charles.

The committee said there is a definite need in the community for a center that would serve the needs of not only the senior citizens, but the community at large.

Passion for environment remains as Whitewater State Park manager retired. State Officer Badge 191, owned by Harold Becker, was turned in February 2.
As visitors from either St. Charles, Eyota, Plainview, Elgin or Lewiston we all shared the same great amazing wonder – Whitewater State Park. And for the past 22 years and 10 months, Harold Becker worked to insure that our visit was safe, fun, educational and above all, memorable. This past Tuesday, Feb. 2, Harold Becker retired from service.
