C-NW train derails - again.  Early morning churchgoers got a surprise Sunday morning when they saw a 20 boxcar pileup on the Chicago-Northwestern railroad tracks between St. Charles and Dover.  The derailment silently occured at about 9:15 p.m. Saturday night.  Residents in two nearby farmhouses said they didn't hear the crash which left 18 boxcars full of wood chips and two more filled with wood pulp lying in heaps in the corn fields of Gorie Ferguson of Dover.

Board hears call for equality in sports.  Track update looks at priorities.  Members of the St. Charles cheerleading squads addressed the Board of Education Monday afternoon as a matter of equality in sports.  What the young athletes learned was that equality is a two-way street.  Currently, two cheerleading squads exist, a boys basketball cheerleading squad and a wrestling squad.
